All Aboard!

For those travelling on a tighter budget than me - thank goodness! - here's one bus to get yourself out of Tombouctou.

A hard, long, slow journey.

The sandy town is of course surrounded by desert - not the classic "dunes", but an expanse of scrabble as far as the eye can see...

Do not worry: if you go north, soon enough you'll be in dune-land.
