Mali 2007/08

Finally - the trip is here. After much argy-bargy, cancelled trips, switched operators, changed flights...West Africa beckons.

The trip I'm on is called "Journey to Timbuktu", operated locally in Mali by Cheche Tours, but booked through Intrepid Tours in Melbourne.
While the title plays on the cache of the fabled city, in fact there's much more to attract one to the country.

So over the next few entries I'll try to share some of the experiences...more through pics than text, no doubt. (I'm not a veteran blogger.)
