The Southern Cross

I did not purchase a southern cross pendant/necklace - something the Tuareg peddle every chance they get.

This little shop sign shows many of the different designs - each represents a different local tribal area. It struck me as interesting.

Also, I thought it very exciting that the manager of our hotel in Tombouctou was Moby Dick himself! :-)
